It happens so often that the peloton miscalculates, through exhaustion of disinterest, in the last week of a Grand Tour. It would be a surprise if this happens in the race from Castelnau-Magnoac to Cahors. The current Tour de France is not exactly packed with chances for fast men. So you should grab the chance when it presents itself.
Moreover, the sprinters who are still on board did not suffer for nothing in the Pyrenees. They will want to seize the opportunity and showcase their talents in the streets of Cahors.
Note for the fast finishers: the last kilometre rises false flat to the line.
Fabio Jakobsen, Dylan Groenewegen and Jasper Philipsen are the most successful sprinters on this Tour. They won the 2nd, 3rd and 15th stage, respectively. Wout van Aert finished in second on all three occassions.
