Tour de France 2020 Favourites stage 21: Final sprint in Paris

Caleb Ewan outgunned Dylan Groenewegen last year on the Champ-Élysées in Paris. Who'll succeed the Australian pocket rocket?

It has been 15 years since Aleksandr Vinokourov was the last attacker to snatch a stage win on the Champ-Élysées. Since then the riders who’ll give it a shot in Paris seldom reach a lead of more than 1 minute. What they have in common is that they never really stand a chance to win.

Caleb Ewan was the most successful sprinter in last year’s Tour de France. The Pocket Rocket stormed to three triumphs. In Paris he outsprinted Dylan Groenewegen and Niccolò Bonifazio. In 2018, Alexander Kristoff took the spoils, while Dylan Groenewegen powered to victory in 2017.

Ewan and Van Aert both won two sprints so far, while Kristoff and Bennett sprinted to one victory each.
