Tour de France 2020 Favourites stage 20: Final battle for yellow
The time trial on the penultimate day of action will bring the ultimate decision in terms of the overall victory. Obviously there is more at stake. For instance, who'll win the 36.2 kilometres race with the steep uphill finish?
A clash of team mates Roglic and Dumooulin could be on the cards. The course is similar to the ITT World Championships of 2017 in Bergen when Dumoulin took gold, Roglic silver and Froome bronze. That Bergen ITT was played out an a 31 kilometres route that was slightly undulating until the finish climb appeared. The ascent was not unlike La Planche des Belles Filles, only a little shorter and steeper.
The Bergen finish climb was 3.4 kilometres long and the average gradient sat at 9.1%. While La Planche des Belles Filles is 5.9 kilometres long with an average gradient of 8.5%. The steepest ramp, at 20%, appears just before the finish line.
Dumoulin stormed to a commanding victory in Bergen. He won the 2017 World Championships 57 seconds ahead of Roglic with Froome another 24 seconds further behind.

This is not the Dumoulin of 2017
How is the order picked for the time trail tomorrow?.. PS- @Jan.. I was thinking the same thing!! I believe he will be in the mix. He is super stoked about his win yesterday.
I want to suggest one name to tomorrow’s ITT favourites. What about Michał Kwiatkowski?
Why were Alaphilippe removed from the list? He’s a pretty good ITT-rider.
