Tour de France 2015 Favourites stage 21 - World Championships of sprint
The World Championships for fast men – voila, that's the sprint on the Champs-Elysées for you. Cavendish leads over Kittel by 4 to 2. Will it be the same after July 26th? Greipel is the best sprinter in France until now... (Slideshow route/profile)
The last six years the Champs-Elysées sprint ended in either a Cavendish or a Kittel party with the German taking the last two sprints in Paris. Since the German is not participating Cavendish may take his 5th in Paris!
But, will he? André Greipel took three bunch sprints in La Grande Boucle 2015 and Cav just one.
Alexander Kristoff and Peter Sagan will be the main challengers, with fast men Arnaud Démare, Sam Bennett and Bryan Coquard waiting in the shades. The last time a soloist bested the chasing pack was in 20015 when Alexander Vinokourov pulled off the impossible.
*** Mark Cavendish, André Greipel
** Peter Sagan, Alexander Kristoff, John Degenkolb
* Arnaud Démare, Bryan Coquard, Sam Bennett
