Tour Colombia 2019 Route stage 2: La Ceja - La Ceja

Wednesday 13 February - At 150.5 kilometres, Tour Colombia includes a circuit race in La Ceja as its 2nd stage. Although the route is mostly flat, the race takes place at an altitude of 2,145 meters. (Slideshow route/profile)

The 2019 Tour Colombia is played out in the Antioquia region of the South American country. For stage 2 the caravan moves to the eastern town of La Ceja.

The route is tailor made for fast men. It includes five identical laps near La Ceja.

So Fernando Gaviria must be pleased. The Colombian won three sprint stages in the inaugural edition - held under the name Oro y Paz - of his home race. The La Ceja stage is an extra treat for the sprinter as it is his birth place.

The first three riders on the line win time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds.
