Tirreno-Adriatico 2015 Route stage 4: Indicatore – Castelraimondo

After leaving Indicatore – very close to yesterday’s arrival-town Arezzo - it takes the riders 14 kilometres to crest Foce dello Scopetone, a modest climb to 524 metres. Then the big wait begins, making way for a bunch of adventurous minds to shine. It's only in the final 80 kilometres the other categorized passes lay waiting.

The climbing (re-)starts with the ascent to the village of Poggio San Romualdo (elevation 936 metres) and next comes some uncategorized hills. In the finale the road rises to Crispiero, as the Italians say: una frazione del comune di Castelraimondo. The 4.2 kilometres climb at 7.3% is to be taken twice, on both occasions with a terrifying steepest section at 15%. After cresting the top for the second time the riders are off for a blistering descent in 6 kilometres to Castelraimondo. The average grade downhill is 5%.
