Tirreno-Adriatico 2014
The 49th edition of Tirreno-Adriatico began on 12 March in Donoratico to finish seven days later in San Benedetto del Tronto. The raced kicked into gear with a team time trial and concluded with an individual time trial. Sandwiched between this were three flat stages and two mountain stages.

Tirreno-Adriatico 2014 Results 7th stage- Malori wins TT, Contador GC
Alberto Contador wrapped up the overall win of Tirreno-Adriatico as expected but it was the Italian Adriano Malori who took a surprise win in the final time trial.Read more »

Mark Cavendish won the 6th stage of Tirreno-Adriatico in Porto Sant'Elpido after a perfect leadout from his teammates. Alberto Contador comfortably retains his overall lead.Read more »
Contador wins again
The 5th stage on the Tirreno-Adriatico was a 192 kilometre long ride. The stage contained 12 kilometres of serious climbing, with gradients on the Muro of up to 30%! Nobody could stop Alberto Contador and he rode away to his second stage win.Read more »
Contador beats Quintana
Stage 4 in the 2014 Tirreno-Adriatico finishes after 244 kilometres atop in skiresort Selva Rotonda. The big contenders take control and Alberto Contador and Nairo Quintana are by far the best. The Spaniard beats the Colombian in a sprint-a-deux dripping with El Pistolero's need for rehabiliation after his disappointing 2013 season. The 3rd stage on the 2014 Tirreno-Adriatico goes from Cascina to Arezzo. The 210 kilometres ride is flat, but the finish is tricky, suited for puncheurs.
