Race report
After the first big breakaway has been caught, Lipowitz, Prodhomme and Steinhauser give it a go. Edoardo Zamabini, Simon Carr, Juri Hollmann, Matteo Fabbro, Geoffrey Bouchard, Valentin Paret-Peintre, Andrea Vendrae, Luis León Sanchez, Antonio Nibali, Oler Goldstein, Luca Covili, Johannes Kulset, Ådne Holter, Magnus Brynsrud, Damien Howson, Gianlucca Bramblla, Txomin Juaristi, Enekoitz Azparren, José Félix Parra and Moran Vermeulen track them down. The second break of the day opens up a 4 minutes lead.

Carr goes alone in the climb to Riomolino and he solos to victory.

The peloton crosses the line 4.28 minutes later and Geoghegan Hart seals the GC.
