Tour de Romandie 2022: Sprint triumph Bevin, Dennis cements lead

Race report
Rémi Cavagna, Nans Peters en Krists Neilands go clear in the descent of the first climb. The trio opens a gap of more than 4.45 minutes before they are brought back with 19 kilometres remaining.

Carlos Verona strikes on the last climb of the day. The Spaniard is caught before the summit.

Rein Taaramäe tries his luck with a late attack, but he is caught inside the last kilometre.

Patrick Bevin opens the ensuing sprint powerfull and double stage winner Ethan Hayter has to admit defeat. He finishes in second, while race leader Rohan Dennis comes home third. The Australien cements his lead with a time bonus of 4 seconds.
