After several failed attempts, Krista Doebel-Hickok and Alessia Vigilia open a gap of almost 2 minutes. The two are reeled in inside the last 5 kilometres.
Chiara Consonni outpowers Rachele Barbieri in the ensuing sprint, while Annemiek van Vleuten finishes safely in the peloton to seal the overall victory.
