Giro Women 2024: Dominant sprint victory Kopecky, Longo Borghini retains pink jersey

Race report
Despite numerous attacks, the peloton remains bunched for most of the race. First Ana Vitória Magalhães and then Marta Jaskulska are the only riders who manage to open up a gap for a couple of kilometres.
In the last 10 kilometers, Jaskulska is caught, and then Lotte Kopecky sprints to commanding victory, finishing a few bike lengths ahead of Chiara Consonni. The stage winner earns a 10 second time bonus,closing in on race leader Elisa Longo Borghini to 3 seconds
