Giro 2020: Démare again, Almeida still in pink

Stage 11 takes the peloton along ltaly's eastern coast to a sprint finish in Rimini. Arnaud Démare takes his fourth win ahead of Peter Sagan and José Hodeg, while João Almeida retains the GC lead. (Slideshow route/profile)

Race report
Mattia Bais, Francesco Romano, Fabio Mazzucco, Sander Armée and Marco Frapporti attack from the gun to open up a gap of 4 minutes before the sprint teams take control.

Armée is the last man standing inside the last 25 kilometres before the peloton brings him back inside the last 6 kilometres.

In the ensuing bunch sprint Demáre outguns Sagan and Hodeg, while Almeida keeps the pink jersey.
