Dubai Tour 2016 Route stage 2: Dubai Marine Club – Palm Jumeirah

Thursday 4 February, 2016 – While start and finish are only a few kilometres away, Dubai's stage 2 brings188 kilometres of racing. An 8-shaped loop through the dessert accounts for a vintage Dubai Tour stage, starting at the Marine Club and finishing in Palm Jumeirah.

Like yesterday, the riders start at the luxurious Dubai International Marine Club to set sail to the desert. This time they limit themselves to an 8-shaped loop. Once back in the city, the finale brings some twisting and turning - that is, by Dubai concepts -, but fast men do not need to worry. Without a doubt, stage 2 will be a sprinter’s party.

Both in 2014 and 2015, stage 2 started at Dubai Marine Club to finish at the artificial island of Palm Jumeirah. Marcel Kittel (2014) and Elia Viviani (2015) took the flowers.

The first three riders will receive time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the intermediate sprints in the 2016 Dubai Tour have 3, 2 and 1 second on offer.
