The Puerto de L’Oronet is 5.9 kilometres long and the average gradient sits at 4.3%. Certainly not a leg breaker, and since the rest of the course is flat to undulating, a bunch sprint is the most likely outcome.
Moncafa is a coastal town situated about 50 kilometres north of Valencia.
Last year’s Vuelta Femenina say only one proper bunch sprint. Charlotte Kool took the spoils, while Marianne Vos was successful twice in sprints of a decimated peloton.
The first three riders on the line gain times bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the intermediate sprint comes with 6, 4 and 2 seconds.
