Vuelta 2016: Results
La Vuelta a España, edition 2016 did leave on Saturday 20 August from Laias to arrive on Sunday 11 September in Madrid. Nairo Quintana took the overall, while Chris Froome finished in second and Esteban Chaves in third.

Mountain victory Pierre Latour, Quintana wins La Vuelta
The last mountain stage on the Vuelta a España travels over four 2nd category peaks to finish on top of the Alto de Aitana after a 21 kilometres especial-category climb. 22-year old Pierre Latour outclimbs Darwin Atapuma, while Quintana holds off a Froome attack. At slightly over 200 kilometres the riders race to Gandia for a seaside finish on the Mediterranean coast. The race boils down to a clash of the fast men with 23-year old Magnus Cort powering to victory ahead of Nikias Arndt. No changes in the overall.Read more »
