Halfway the 2nd stage the riders face a 2nd category climb. At the top it’s still 80 kilometres to go to the finish line, so it’s not to be expected the riders will go full gas. Furthermore, in the rest of the race there are enough chances to close any gaps in the peloton. The second half of the race brings ample opportunities to reel in escapees. Two climbs in the last section should not hinder the fast men, so this stage is expected to boil down to a bunch sprint
