Ion Izagirre won the 59th edition of the Tour of the Basque Country ahead of Dan Martin and Emanuel Buchmann. The race started on Monday 8 April 2019 to finish on Saturday the 13th.

Maximilian Schachmann won the 4th stage of the Tour of the Basque Country ahead of Pogacar, Fuglsang and Adam Yates. They escaped on the last climb before the leader extended his lead in the four-up sprint.Read more »
Schachmann cements lead with win in 3rd stage
Pre-race favourite Alaphilippe crashes in the finale of the 3rd stage of the Tour of the Basque Country before Schachmann powers to victory on the 2 kilometres uphill at 4% to the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Estíbaliz. Ulissi comes in second, Battaglin in third.Read more »
