The 102nd edition of the Tour of Flanders will be played out on Sunday the 1st of April, 2018. The grueling race is teeming with short, sharp and often cobbled climbs. The riders leave from Antwerp, while the route amounts to 265.5 kilometres and takes in eighteen climbs. The finale is marked by the cobbled combo Oude Kwaremont/Paterberg before the race concludes with 13 kilometres on the flat.
Last year, Philippe Gilbert launched an attack on the second ascent of the Oude Kwaremont to power to victory in an epic solo break of 55 kilometres. Greg van Avermaet and Niki Terpstra rounded out the podium.
