The 102nd edition of the Tour of Flanders will be played out on Sunday the 1st of April, 2018. The grueling race is teeming with short, sharp and often cobbled climbs. The riders leave from Antwerp, while the route usually takes in some 250 kilometres. In 2017, the last 75 kilometres were identical to other recent editions, which meant the finale was marked by the cobbled climbs up Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg. (Slideshow route/profile)
Last year, Philippe Gilbert launched an attack on the second ascent of the Oude Kwaremont to power to victory in an epic solo break of 55 kilometres. Greg van Avermaet and Niki Terpstra rounded out the podium.
