Tour de Suisse 2014
The 78th edition of the Tour de Suisse started on the 14th of June and ended on the 22nd with a mountain stage to Saas-Fee. Rui Costa won both the Saas-Fee stage and the overall classification.

Rui Costa takes both stage and overall
The final stage heads in 156,7 kilometres from Martigny to Saas-Fee. Along the way riders crest two category-1 cols and one category-2 col to finish atop a hors catégorie mountain. Climbers Mollema, Frank and Costa attack and the two time trialists in the overall lead lose valuable ground. Defending champion Costa not only wins the tsage, he takes the GC also.Read more »
Chaves wins, Martin still leading
Stage 8 in Suisse is a 219.1 kilometres ride from Delémont to Verbier, the famous ski resort in the Alps. The closing climb comes in two and totals 22.3 kilometres. 24-Year old Colombian Esteban Chaves takes the stage and fairly easy Tony Martin manages to stay in the overall lead.Read more »
Specialists-day - Martin wins, Dumoulin 2nd
In the 24 kilomtres time trial over rolling terrain it's up to the specialist. The number one and two of the opening time trial, Tony Martin and Tom Dumoulin, are in the lead again. However, defending champion and climber Rui Costa is third overall now. Perfect amo for a thrilling closing weekend.Read more »
Matteo Trentin outsprints 2 compatriots
Matteo Trentin won the 6th stage of the Tour de Suisse, outsprinting two other Italians at the finish. Mark Cavendish had been dropped while Sagan was strong but caught behind a split after race leader Tony Martin had accelerated.Read more »
Modolo outsprints Sagan, Cav goes down in crash
Sacha Modolo won the 5th stage of the Tour de Suisse, outsprinting Sagan and Degenkolb in a dangerous finale. Mark Cavendish crashed in the finale but his injuries aren't thought to be serious.Read more »
