Tour de France 2014 Route stage 21: Evry – Paris/Champs-Elysées
Sunday, July 27 – 137,5 kilometres from Évry to the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The GC winner will already be known but the sprinters have another chance of victory on the famed cobbles and the green jersey could still be decided. (Slideshow route/profile)
Marcel Kittel again? André Greipel?
The greatest sprinters should all have a Champs-Élysées victory on their resume.
Arguably one of the best sprinters to never win in Paris was Erik Zabel. Six green jerseys without a Paris victory seems a shame. Will Sagan be eyeing this up as well as he bids for a third straight green jersey win?
The stage will be a procession as usual with champagne and maybe even cigars before the circuit starts in Paris. Speeds ramp up here in what is always a spectacular finale.
