Tour de France 2014 Route stage 15: Tallard – Nîmes
Sunday, July 20th – The 15th stage, at 222 kilometres, is more long than difficult. It looks like a sprint day but breakaway specialists might also eye it up as an opportunity to steal a win before the rest day.

Tour de France 2014 route stage 15: Tallard > Nimes
Tallard is a small village near Gap, and has only once before hosted the Tour de France, in 2007. That day, Cédric Vasseur was the best in the breakaway group into Marseilles and took his second tour stage win, ten years after his first.
Nimes
This year the bunch heads for Nîmes. The city is famous for the Roman monuments, such as the Arena of Nîmes and Maison Carrée, possibly the best preserved Roman temple in the world.
Sprinters
Who will be crowned Mark Cavendish’ successor, who won the 2008 bunch sprint in Nîmes? Or can he retain his crown against the likes of Kittel and Greipel?
