Race report
Mads Würtz Schmidt is among the most active riders after the start. The Dane initiates a breakaway with Jan Bakelants, Brent Van Moer, Simone Velasco, Nelson Oliveira and Emils Liepins. The six carve out a lead of more than 6 minutes.

With one lap of 10 kilometres to go the gap sits at 2.10 minutes. Which means the breakaway is going to succeed.

As Liepins is dropped in the last lap it comes down to a sprint of five. Würtz Schmidt outclasses Van Moer and Velasco to take his first big win as a pro. Tadej Pogacar finishes in the peloton to stay in the overall race lead.
