The Route d’Occitanie – formerly know as the Route du Sud – starts on Saturday 1 August to finish on Tuesday the 4th. The route in the Pyrenees and the foothills of the mountain range that divides France and Spain takes in a lot of vertical metres. The race is one of the first on the post-coronavirus cycling calendar. Egan Bernal and Thibaut Pinot are competing in the race in southern France. (Slideshow route/profile)
