Omloop Het Nieuwsblad 2018

Michael Valgren Andersen won the 73rd edition of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad ahead of Łukasz Wiśniowski and Sep Vanmarcke. The Dane counter-attacked when Vanmarcke accelerated with 2 kilometres remaining to solo to victory. The race was held in chilly and windy conditions on the 24th of February 2018.

The Route

Saturday, 24 February 2018 - The Omloop Het Nieuwsblad marks the opening of the Belgian cycling calendar. Always taking in a lot of climbs from the Tour of Flanders, the 2018 edition will be spiced up with the double Wall of Geraardsbergen and Bosberg in the finale. The route amounts to 196.2 kilometres.
