Milano - San Remo Donne 2025: The Route
The race mirrors the men’s edition in more respects, while the run-up is even less challenging, with no climbs whatsoever. After leaving Genoa, the riders cruise along the Mediterranean from kilometre 0.
In fact, where the route meets the men’s race in Voltri, it is only 20 kilometres from the start, and 85 kilometres later, the riders reach the first of the three capi, Capo Mele. The route continues over Capo Cervo and Capo Berta, and onto the Cipressa. The climb is 5.5 kilometres long, with an average gradient of 4.1%. It will be interesting to see which fast finishers struggle and, hopefully for them, survive on these slopes.
After the descent of the Cipressa, it’s about 8 kilometres to the foot of the Poggio. This climb is 3.7 kilometres at 3.7%, with the steepest section, at 8%, just 1 kilometre from the top.
Upon cresting the Poggio, riders fly down 3.3 kilometres before the route levels out for the final 2.2 kilometres in the streets of San Remo.
