La Flèche Wallonne 2015
The 79th edition of the Flèche Wallonne was held on April 22, 2015. It all boiled down to the closing climb up the steep Wall of Huy. The Spanish puncheur Alejandro Valverde played his cards well and attacked with a few hundred metres left and powered to victory. Young Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe suprised with the second place, while Michael Albasini came in third.

Second win in a row Alejandro Valverde
On the penultimate climb young Belgian Tim Wellens detonates the fireworks. He attacks and races up the Wall of Huy with a tiny margin, but halfway up his party is over. Just before the climb flattens out Alejandro Valverde powers away and he is too strong to bring back. Just like last year the Spanish puncheur wins the first of the two Wallonian Ardennes classics.Read more »
