Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne 2017: Favourites

Often, Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne boils down to spint of a select group. Yet, last year Jasper Stuyven took a different approach when he soloed to victory. Now the Flemish rider faces competition by sprinters Démare, Bouhanni and Kristoff, while Van Avermaet and Sagan are always a power to be reckoned with. (Slideshow route/profile)

Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne is a protypical classic for fast men, but last year Jasper Stuyven escaped with 17 kilometres left to solo to an impressive victpry. Being a sprinter himself he decided it was wise to choose not to go head to-head with Alexander Kristoff and Nacer Bouhanni, who eventually finished in second and in third.

Is Stuyven able to pull it off once more? Or is he confident enough to rely on his sprint this time?

One thing is certain – competition is strong. Greg Van Avermaet, Peter Sagan, Alexander Kristoff, Nacer Bouhanni and Arnaud Démare are all lined up.
