Race report
Florian Vermeersch attacks after 8 kilometres and since no one joins him, the Belgian rides solo for tens of kilometres. His maximum lead is 5 minutes before he is reeled in with 53 kilometres remaining.

While entering the last lap, the first group is down to some 30 riders.

Adam Yates attacks in the last ascent of the Côte Camillien-Houde. Pavel Sivakov follows him for awhile until he is dropped just like the others. Yet, he regains contact with 8 kilometres left to race.

The Briton outpowers the Frenchman with ease in the uphill finish to succeed his team mate Pogacar as the winner of the GP Montréal.
