Giro 2020: Riders and teams
COVID-19 took its toll at the 103rd Giro d'Italia. Pre-race favourites Steven Kruijswijk and Simon Yates tested positive and Michael Matthews and Fernando Gaviria also pulled out of the race after a positive test. All in all, 43 riders did not reach the finish in Milan, where Tao Geoghegan Hart crowned a remarkable campaign with a surprising GC victory on Sunday 26 October 2020.
