1. Vuelta 2025: Bernal outsprints Landa, Vingegaard still leader

   Due to protests on the final climb, the organisers decide at the last moment to move the finish to the foot of the climb. There, Egan Bernal outsprints Mikel Landa, while Jonas Vingegaard crosses the line 6 minutes later to retain the red jersey.

   Tuesday, 9 September - Stage 16 of La Vuelta is a 167.9-kilometre race featuring roughly 3,500 metres of climbing. The finish is set atop an 8.2-kilometre climb with an average gradient of 5.2%.

3. Vuelta 2025 Favourites stage 16: Climbing fest for attackers

   In a 167.9-kilometre stage, the lion’s share of the 3,472 metres of climbing comes in the second half of the route. It’s a tough parcours, but whether it’s tough enough for the GC riders to go all out remains to be seen.
