1. Vuelta 2024: Solo victory Pablo Castrillo, O'Connor still in red

   Pablo Castrillo attacks from the lead group with 10.2 kilometres to go on the finishing climb. The 23-year-old Spaniard solos to victory, 8 seconds ahead of Max Poole. The GC group finishes 6.29 minutes later, and Ben O'Connor stays in red.

2. Vuelta 2024 Route stage 12: Ourense - Cabeza de Manzaneda

   Thursday 29 Augustus - Stage 12 of La Vuelta is a lumpy race of 137.4 kilometres from Ourense to the ski station at the Cabeza de Manzaneda. The finish climb is a 22 kilometres long drag at roughly 5%, although several stretches go up at double digits.

3. Vuelta 2024 Favourites stage 12: Compact attrition race with uphill finish

   The 12th stage of La Vuelta travels from one short climb to the next until the road rises steadily over the last 15.4 kilometres at an average gradient of 4.7%. The route takes in an elevation of over 3,000 metres across 137.4 kilometres.
