3. Vuelta 2022 Favourites stage 17: Breakaway day

   The ascents are never excessively hard, but since the route of stage 17 is going either up or down from start to finish, the riders face an altitude gain of more than 2,700 metres. It's a beautiful day for the breakaway.

4. Vuelta 2022: Vine remains KOM leader

   Jay Vine is in control of the KOM competition. the Australian does not score any points in stage 17 but neither do his rivals.

5. Vuelta 2022: Pedersen almost virtually secures green jersey

   Runner-up Fred Wright scores maximum points in the intermediate sprint of stage 17, but green jersey Mads Pedersen is still miles ahead of him. Only 1 point and he is the winner of La Vuelta's points classification.
