1. Vuelta 2020: Roglic outclimbs Carapaz at Moncalvillo, Carapaz stays in red

   The 8th stage comes down to a Roglic-Carapaz clash on the steep finishing climb. The Slovene takes the spoils and moves up to second place, while the Ecuadorian stays in red with a 13 seconds lead.

2. Vuelta 2020 Route stage 8: Logroño - Moncalvillo

   Wednesday 28 October - Wine region La Rioja hosts a race from Logroño to an uphill finish at the Moncalvillo. The haul up to the line is 8.3 kilometres long and slopes at 9.2%. While featuring one intermediate climb, the race amounts to 164 kilometres.

3. Vuelta 2020 Favourites stage 8: Mountain goats on irregular finish climb

   La Vuelta serves a race on undulating roads with two ascents standing out on the eight day of action. The finish climb features a section of 3 kilometres at more than 10%.

   The 8th stage of La Vuelta finishes atop the unprecedented Alto de Moncalvillo. Although Guillaume Martin gains no points, the Frenchman stays in the blue polka dots.
