1. Vuelta 2019: Arndt wins hectic finale, Edet new leader

   In a hectic and slippery finale Nikias Arndt stays upright to sprint to victory in the 8th stage of La Vuelta. His fellow-attacker Nicolas Edet moves into the red jersey as the GC group finishes with a delay of more than 9 minutes.

2. Vuelta 2019 KOM classification stage 8: Madrazo remains leader

   Ángel Madrazo sports the polka dot jersey for at least one more day. The Spaniard is still 16 points clear.

3. Vuelta 2019 Points classification stage 8: Quintana still leader

   The breakaway makes it until the finish line, so Quintana stays in the lead. The top of the points classification remains the same.

4. Vuelta 2019 Route stage 8: Valls – Igualada

   Saturday 31 August- Stage 8 in the Vuelta a España sets off in Valls and travels to Igualada. The 166.9 kilometres race is bound to see a sprint finish, although the Puerto de Montserrat could stand in the way.

5. Vuelta 2019 Favourites stage 8: Sprinters or (late) attackers

   The 8th stage on La Vuelta is a rolling ride. The sprint teams should be able to control the race, although the Puerto de Montserrat appears with 35 kilometres left. Are the fast men going to survive the 8.2 kilometres climb?
