1. Vuelta 2019: Ángel Madrazo wins at Javalambre, López regains El Rojo

   KOM leader Ángel Madrazo wins the first uphill finish at La Vuelta ahead of his teammate Jetse Bol and José Herrada, while Miguel Ángel López moves back into the GC lead.

2. Vuelta 2019 KOM classification stage 5: Madrazo extends lead with monster move

   Ángel Madrazo extended his lead of the mountain classification. He managed to go on the attack to take all available points in the 5th stage, including those at the finish line.

3. Vuelta 2019 Points classification stage 5: Sam Bennet retains lead

   Sam Bennett is unlikely to stay in the lead of the points classification as the finish is near the Jalavambre Observatory. That is, at the end of a long and steep climb.

4. Vuelta 2019 Route stage 5: L’Eliana – Javalambre

   Wednesday 28 August - The 5th stage sees the Vuelta a España dive inland to the remote region of Teruel. The summit finish near the Javalambre Observatory is even more remote. Starting in L’Eliana, the route amounts to 170.7 kilometres.

5. Vuelta 2019 Favourites stage 5: Mountain goat on steep last climb

   The route of the 5th stage on La Vuelta is not exceptionally hard. Yet, the finishing climb is. The road to the Javalambre Observatorio is 11.1 kilometres long and the last 5 kilometres are extremely tough. Double digit material.
