1. Vuelta 2019: Gilbert outsmarts Bennett, Roglic still leader

   Philippe Gilbert won the eventful 17th stage on La Vuelta. He outgunned Sam Bennett in Guadalajra to take his second win in this Vuelta. Primoz Roglic holds on to El Rojo, while Nairo Quintana wins minutes.

2. Vuelta 2019 KOM classification stage 17: Bouchard stays leader

   There are zero points available in the battle for the polka dots during the 17th stage. Obviously, Geoffrey Bouchard remains the KOM leader.

3. Vuelta 2019 Points classification stage 17: Bennett moves up, Roglic still leader

   Sam Bennet voiced his ambition to win the green jersey on La Vuelta. It is still possible. He gains 24 points and moves up to second place in the points competition, 23 points down on Roglic.

4. Vuelta 2019 Route stage 17: Aranda de Duero - Guadalajara

   Wednesday 11 September - The 17th stage of the Vuelta a España is likely to see a sprint finish. The 219.6 kilometres race kicks off in Aranda de Duero and travels on rolling terrain to Guadalajara.

5. Vuelta 2019 Favourites stage 17: Fast men in longest race

   Stage 17 is the only race on this Vuelta with a distance of more than 200 kilometres. Obviously, it is also the longest race. Although not entirely flat, the distance is the most challenging aspect, so a bunch sprint is the most likely outcome.
