   After the uphill torture of the past few days, the 16th stage in the Vuelta boils down to a bunch sprint. Jean-Pierre Drucker outsprints Gianni Meersman to take the first Grand Tour victory in his career. No changes in the GC.

   Monday, September 5, 2016 – At 158 kilometres, stage 16 in the Vuelta a España leads from Alcañiz to Peñíscola. The first half of the race is uphill before a long drop takes the riders to 20 flat closing kilometres.
