2. Vuelta 2014 Route stage 9: Carboneras de Guadazón – Valdelinares

   Sunday, August 31 - In 185 kilometres stage 9 of the 2014 Vuelta takes the riders from Carboneras de Guadazón to the ski resort of Valdelinares. Stage 6 was the first and this is the second mountain stage, containing three categorized cols.

3. Vuelta 2014: Favourites stage 9 - Break away boys or GC battle?

   In stage 9 riders are to crest two categorized cols before they head for today's eagles nest: skiresort Valdelinares. The finale is a monster with 19.5 climbing kilometers out of the last 25 kilometres. Mountain goats will be salivating.
