Wednesday, September 3 - It's in 153.4 kilometres the riders head from 'bull-town' Pamplona to Santuario de San Miguel de Aralar. The finale is crowned with 3rd and 1st category climbs. The arrival is atop the latter with the most venomenous sector of up 17% just under the top. It's up there young Fabio Aru celebrates his second stage win in a Grand Tour after a brilliantly place attack, whilst Valverde takes 7 bonus seconds from GC leader by finishing second. Bad news is Nairo Quintana is out after a crash at the beginning of the race.

Wednesday, September 3 – A typical Vuelta-stage, served in three courses and totalling 153.4 kilometers. The ride from Pamplona to Santuario de San Miguel de Aralar is hilly to start with and in the final two cols are welcoming the riders. The last one is the toughest and it’s a top finish.

Stage 11 is a typical Vuelta ride. The opening section is for over 100 kilometres on rolling terrain and when the finale starts the roads are getting steeper and steeper. The closing climb to Sanctuary San Miguel de Aralar is peppered with 15% sections. Odds are on the break of the day stays together till the bottom of the climb and then the best climber aboard will ride to victory.
