Tour de France 2025: Groves triumphs from the break, Pogacar nearly there
In a wet and hilly race through the Jura, Kaden Groves breaks away from his fellow escapees Frank van den Broek and Jake Stewart with just under 17 kilometres to go. The Australian crowns his solo effort with a convincing victory. The peloton crosses the line 7 minutes later, with Tadej Pogacar takes another step closer to his fourth Tour win.

Tour de France 2025 Route stage 20: Nantua – Pontarlier
Saturday, 26 July – The penultimate stage of the Tour de France includes an elevation gain of nearly 2,900 metres, most of which is conquered in the first part of the race. Running from Nantua to Pontarlier, the route totals 184.2 kilometres.

Tour de France 2025 Favourites stage 20: Breakaway day
Over 184.2 kilometres, the riders traverse the Jura on the penultimate day of the Tour. Along the way, they tackle 2,900 metres of elevation. The route undulates throughout, without any long or particularly steep climbs. All in all, ideal conditions for a successful breakaway.
