   The caravan ventures into the Pyrenees with breakaway boy Nans Peters soloing to victory. Tadej Pogacar is the best GC rider after an attack on the last climb, while Adam Yates stays in the GC lead.

   Saturday 5 September -The 8th stage on the Tour de France is the first test in the Pyrenees. At 140 kilometres, the race kicks off in Cazères-sur-Garonne to finish downhill in Loudenvielle after three intermediate climbs.

3. Tour de France 2020 Favourites stage 8: Fast descenders in first Pyrenees race

   Aficionados of downhill finales are treated in the 8th stage. The race serves two massive ascents inside the last 50 kilometres before a steep descent to the line.

   The peloton enters the Pyrenees for the first test in the high mountains. The 8th stage of the Tour de France features one HC climb and two category-1 ascents. Benoît Cosnefroy stays in the KOM lead.
