   Julian Alaphilippe, Adam Yates and Marc Hirschi attack on the last climb in a race with roughly 4,000 vertical metres. On the Promenade des Anglais in Nice Alaphilippe powers to the win to move into the GC lead.

   Sunday 30 August - At 187 kilometres, the Tour de Frances serves the first chance for climbers as early as the 2nd stage. The last of four climbs is 5.5 kilometres at 5.5% before the finale is a 9 kilometres descent into Nice.
