   Annemiek van Vleuten powers to a commanding victory at the Olympic ITT event in Tokyo. She finishes approximately 1 minute faster than Marlen Reusser and Anna van der Breggen.

   Wednesday 28 July - The women's individual time trial at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo is partly played out on the Fuji International Speedway. The women tackle a 22.1 kilometres course with an elevation gain of 423 metres.
