Giro 2025: Pink jersey Del Toro triumphs in Bormio

Just before the top of the final climb, Isaac Del Toro attacks and Richard Carapaz follows his move. They catch breakaway rider Romain Bardet, after which the pink jersey rider breaks away from the other two inside the last 1.5 kilometres. He wins the stage to extends his GC lead.

Giro 2025: Scaroni wins in San Valentino, Del Toro holds on to pink

Team-mates Lorenzo Fortunato and Christian Scaroni dominate the final climb of stage 16. In San Valentino, Scaroni takes the victory, while Fortunato all but secures the mountains classification. Isaac del Toro cracks, but manages to hold on to the pink jersey.

Tuesday, 27 May – Stage 16 of the Giro features nearly 4,900 metres of climbing over a 203-kilometre route. The riders face four climbs along the way tackling the 17.4-kilometre final ascent, which averages 6.4% and includes sections ramping up to 14%.
