1. Giro 2022: Hindley wins at Blockhaus, López keeps maglia rosa

   Jai Hindley wins the brutal Blockhaus stage with an elevation gain of 5,000 metres. He outsprints Romain Bardet and Richard Carapaz on the line, while Juan Pedro López retains the pink jersey.

2. Giro 2022 Route stage 9: Isernia - Blockhaus

   Sunday 15 May - The 9th stage serves the first big test on the Giro. At 189 kilometers the riders traverse a mountainous route with 5,000 climbing metres, the lion's share of which lies in a double ascent of Blockhaus.

3. Giro 2022 Favourites stage 9: GC clash on Blockhaus

   The 9th stage crosses one mountain after the other to finish on the 13.7 kilometres long climb at 8.5% of Blockhaus. The race takes in an elevation gain of almost 5 kilometres.

4. Giro 2022: Démare still leads points competition

   Without scoring any points in the race to Blockhaus, Arnaud Démare stays in the lead of the points classification.

5. Giro 2022: Rosa new KOM leader

   Stage 9 on the Giro is a feast for climbers and KOM contenders. Breakaway rider Diego Rosa gains 80 points and moves into the lead of the mountain classification.
