   Arnaud Démare wins the first stage on the Italian mainland. The Australian pocket rocket outguns Caleb Ewan and Mark Cavendish on the line. Juan Pedro López keeps the pink jersey.

2. Giro 2022 Route stage 6: Palmi - Scalea

   Thursday 12 May - We'll see the first stage on the main land of Italy on the sixth day of action. The race sets off from Palmi in the deep south to finish in Scalea after a predominanty flat race of 192 kilometres.
