   Tuesday 17 May - The first stage after the Giro's second rest day is a race from Pescara to Jesi. The 196 long race through the Marche region is flat in the first half and hilly in the second.

   The 10th stage of the Giro is flat in the first half and more lumpy in the second. Pure sprinters will be tested, and possibly fail, which opens the way for strongman sprinters.

4. Giro 2022: Démare still leader, Girmay closes in

   Arnaud Démare loses contact in the finale and Biniam Girmay grabs the opportunity. Not only by winning the stage, but also by getting closer in the points competition. The gap with the Frenchman comes down to 3 points.
