1. Giro 2021: Lafay wins from the breakaway, Valter stays in pink

   Victor Lafay solos to victory in the 8th stage of the Giro d'Italia. The Frenchman is the best climber in the breakaway and he wins ahead of Francesco Gavazzi and Nikias Arndt, while Atilla Valter stays in the overall race lead.

3. Giro 2021: Mäder keeps blue jersey

   Gino Mäder retains the blue KOM jersey in the 8th stage of the Giro d'Italia. Kobe Goossens and Geoffrey Bouchard are trailing at 8 points.

4. Giro 2021 Route stage 8: Foggia - Guardia Sanframondi

   Saturday 15 May - At 170 kilometres, the 8th stage of the Giro d'Italia travels from Foggia to an uphill finale in Guardia Sanframondi. The route takes in an elevation gain of 3,400 metres.

5. Giro 2021 Favourites stage 8: Attackers with climbing legs

   The 170 kilometres route features 3,400 vertical metres. Which is quite a lot, although the climbs are never steep. And the finish climb is no big deal either. Chances are that the 8th stage of the Giro turns out to be a day for the breakaway.
