   Gino Mäder solos to victory from the breakaway on the long climb to San Giacomo. Egan Bernal finishes in second and Dan Martin in third, while Attila Valter moves into the overall race lead.

2. Giro 2021: Mäder new KOM leader

   Gino Mäder not only takes the stage win on the 6th stage of the Giro, he also climbs into the blue KOM jersey.

3. Giro 2021: Nizzolo still in maglia ciclamino

   The points classification remains unchanged in stage 6. So Giacomo Nizzolo keeps the maglia ciclamino.

4. Giro 2021 Route stage 6: Grotte di Frasassi - San Giacomo

   Thursday 13 May - The 6th stage of the Giro d'Italia is a mountainous race. The route between Grotte di Frasassi and Ascoli Piceno is 160 kilometres long and features 3,400 vertical metres.

5. Giro 2021 Favourites stage 6: Breakaway day, or GC clash

   The 6th stage serves the first long finish climb on this year's Giro. So, are we to expect the first GC clash? Not necesarily. The route is challenging, but not extremely hard. So chances are that the breakaway will succeed.
