   Taco van der Hoorn solos to victory from the breakaway. The Dutchman wins the 3rd stage of the Giro 4 seconds ahead of the peloton, while Filippo Ganna retains the maglia rosa.

2. Giro 2021: Albanese cements KOM lead

   The 3rd stage of the Giro serves three classified climbs - one in the 3rd category and two in the 4th category. Vincenzo Albanese extends his lead in the KOM competition.

3. Giro 2021: Merlier keeps maglia ciclamino

   Without taking any points, Tim Merlier stays in maglia ciclamino. Elia Viviani sits in second, 12 points down on the Flemish sprinter.

4. Giro 2021 Route stage 3: Biella – Canale

   Monday 10 May - The 3rd stage of the Giro d'Italia is a 190 kilometres race to Canale. Following a virtually flat opening the route continues onto more lumpy terrain in the last 70 kilometres.

5. Giro 2021 Favourites stage 3: Strong sprinters or late attackers

   Stage 3 on the Giro serves a flat race with an intriguing finale. Two small climbs in the last 13 kilometres are likely to hurt pure sprinters, while the likes of Sagan will be pleased.
